The evolving India–US trade relationship is beginning to create meaningful opportunities across select export-oriented sectors, with pharmaceuticals emerging as one of the key beneficiaries. As the US continues to diversify its healthcare supply chains, Indian pharma companies are well placed to gain from increased demand, regulatory alignment, and cost competitiveness. Companies such as Sun Pharma, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Cipla, and Divi’s Laboratories could benefit from stronger export traction and improved long-term visibility in the US market.
The textile sector also appears favourably positioned, particularly after the sharp reduction in tariffs from earlier levels of around 50% to nearly 18%. This move significantly enhances the competitiveness of Indian exporters, potentially improving order inflows and margins. Companies like Indo Count Industries, Kitex Garments, Pearl Global Industries, and Gokaldas Exports stand to gain as global buyers increasingly look at India as a reliable and scalable sourcing hub.
In the auto components space, improved trade conditions could support sustained export demand as global automobile manufacturers continue to diversify their supplier base. Indian component makers, backed by strong engineering capabilities and cost efficiency, are well aligned with this shift. Bharat Forge, Motherson, and Endurance Technologies could see incremental benefits from higher overseas orders and long-term supply contracts.
The gems and jewellery sector also features among the potential beneficiaries, as easing trade barriers can support higher exports and better access to the US market. Given the sector’s close linkage with global demand cycles, companies such as Vaibhav Global, Renaissance Global, and Rajesh Exports may benefit from improved trade flows and a gradual recovery in consumer demand.
Overall, while trade agreements rarely lead to immediate transformations, they help create a supportive environment for sustained growth. Pharmaceuticals, textiles, auto components, and gems and jewellery emerge as key sectors to watch, with select companies well positioned to benefit as India–US trade engagement deepens over time.
